Created thanks to the contribution of tools, artefacts, moulds and knowledge skilfully organised by volunteers, the museum offers a journey that starts from the different methods of iron extraction from the mines of Carsiè and Ronzei (active until 1770), to follow the metalworking, active as early as the 1400s, a period in which Cibiana held a pivotal role with the Republic of Venice for the iron trade.
Continuing on, one can observe the historical evolution of keys, not only from the first ones forged in a single piece of iron to the most modern ones, but also their individual production steps, thanks to donations of keys suspended between one processing stage and the next.
